Prior to her election to the state senate, she served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2019 to 2025, where she represented the 37th and later the 72nd districts. A member of the Democratic Party, Scott has been recognized for her cross-partisan leadership, notably co-chairing the Arkansas chapter of the Future Caucus and receiving the Future Caucus Rising Star Award in 2021.
