Jamie Callender

Jamie Callender is an American politician, lawyer, and college professor currently serving as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 57th district since 2019. Previously serving in the state House from 1997 to 2004, he has been a prominent figure in Ohio education policy, notably involved in the creation of charter school laws and the introduction of value-added educational measurements. A partner at Buckley King LPA and founder of the Callender Law Group, he also serves as an adjunct professor at Kent State University. His legislative career has included sponsorship of major energy legislation, specifically House Bill 6, and he remains an active participant in state finance and utility oversight committees.
