Jamie West

Jamie West is a Canadian politician serving as the Member of Provincial Parliament for Sudbury, a position he has held since 2018. Before entering provincial politics, he worked at Vale Limited's smelter operation and served as president of the Sudbury and District Labour Council, while also teaching labour studies at Laurentian University. As a member of the Ontario New Democratic Party, West has focused on labour rights and social advocacy, notably passing legislation to designate June 1 as Injured Workers Day. He currently serves as the Official Opposition critic for Labour, Training, and Skills Development.
