Jamieson Lee Greer is an American trade attorney and government official currently serving as the United States Trade Representative since February 2025. A former Air Force officer and Judge Advocate General's Corps member, he previously served as chief of staff to the U.S. Trade Representative during the first Trump administration. Known as a key architect of protectionist trade policies, Greer advocates for aggressive tariff enforcement, the restructuring of international trade agreements, and the implementation of export controls to counter Chinese economic influence. He has also held acting roles as the director of the Office of Government Ethics and as the acting special counsel of the United States.
