Jan de Boer

Jan Albert de Boer is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the Mayor of Den Helder since March 4, 2021. Before his current role, he served as the Mayor of Buren from 2013 to 2021 and held various municipal council and alderman positions in Hoorn, Harlingen, and Landsmeer. Originally a teacher of economics, he holds a Master of Science in Public Administration from TiasNimbas Business School. Throughout his career, he has focused on areas including economic affairs, social policy, sustainability, and public order.
