Jan Philipp Libbertz is a German politician and a member of the Hamburgische Bürgerschaft, representing the constituency of Eidelstedt – Stellingen – Eimsbüttel-West. Born in Hamburg in 1989, he holds a Master of Arts in educational science. Following the 2020 Hanau attack, he joined the party The Left and served as a spokesperson for the Eimsbüttel district branch starting in 2021. Since his election to the state parliament in March 2025, he has focused on justice, family, and youth policy as a specialist spokesperson for his parliamentary group.
