Jan Matzoll is a German politician and member of the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia, representing Alliance 90/The Greens since 2022. Born in Brilon, he studied religious studies and philosophy at the Ruhr University Bochum. Before his election to the state parliament, he worked as a journalist, a sales representative in management consulting, and as a full-time managing director for the Gelsenkirchen district association of his party. In the Landtag, he serves as his parliamentary group's spokesperson for economy, industry, and innovation, and is a member of the science and petition committees. He has announced that he will not seek re-election in 2027 for health reasons.
