Jan Rothenbacher

Jan Rothenbacher is a German politician and the Lord Mayor of Memmingen. Born in 1992, he studied political and administrative science in Konstanz and Bremen. Before his election as mayor in 2023, he worked as a consultant for BwConsulting and later for PricewaterhouseCoopers. A member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), he previously served as the chairman of the SPD district association in Alb-Donau and was a candidate for the Bundestag in 2021. Upon taking office in March 2023, he became the youngest Lord Mayor in Germany at that time.
