Jang-gyeom Kim is a South Korean politician and former journalist currently serving as a member of the 22nd National Assembly. Before entering politics, he had a long career at Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), where he served as a reporter, news director, and eventually as the 33rd President and CEO. Since his election to the National Assembly in 2024 as a proportional representative for the People Power Party, he has been active in the Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee. His political focus includes media reform, addressing portal site monopolies, and responding to digital crimes such as deepfake-related offenses.
