Jasmine Crockett is an American politician and lawyer serving as the U.S. representative for Texas's 30th congressional district since 2023. Previously, she served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023. A graduate of Rhodes College and the University of Houston Law Center, she began her career as a public defender and operated her own law firm. Known for her progressive stances, Crockett has focused on voting rights, criminal justice reform, and economic equity. She is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and the House Judiciary Committee.
