Jason Anavitarte

Jason Raul Anavitarte is an American politician serving as a member of the Georgia State Senate for District 31. Of Puerto Rican descent, he previously served as a member of the Paulding County School Board before his election to the state legislature. In June 2025, he was elected as the Senate Majority Leader. Anavitarte has been active in legislative efforts concerning education policy, including sponsoring legislation to restrict government funding for libraries affiliated with the American Library Association.
