Javi Benitez

Javier Miguel Lopez Benitez is a Filipino politician and former actor currently serving as the representative for the 3rd district of Negros Occidental in the House of Representatives of the Philippines. Elected in 2025, he previously served as the Mayor of Victorias from 2022 to 2025. In the 20th Congress, he has been appointed as an assistant majority floor leader and chairman of the Special Committee on Creative Industry and Performing Arts. Benitez has advocated for the regulation of the online gambling industry, citing the potential economic impact on workers, and has been active in legislative efforts alongside a group of young lawmakers known as the House Hotshots.
