Jawaharial Williams is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives for the 10th district. Appointed in May 2019 to succeed Melissa Conyears-Ervin, he represents various Chicago neighborhoods, including Austin, Logan Square, and Humboldt Park. Prior to his legislative career, Williams worked as a laborer for the Chicago Department of Water Management and was active in the Laborers' International Union of North America. He is also a former president of the Young Democrats of Illinois and a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.
