John Clyde Morris III, known as Jay Morris, is an American politician and attorney serving as a member of the Louisiana State Senate for the 35th district since 2020. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served in the Louisiana House of Representatives from 2012 to 2020. Before his legislative career, Morris worked on Capitol Hill and as a staff member for the Louisiana Municipal Association. He is a partner at the law firm Dean Morris, LLP and is a graduate of Louisiana State University.
