Jean-Marie Halsdorf is a Luxembourgish politician and a prominent member of the Christian Social People's Party (CSV). He has had a long career in local and national politics, having served as the Mayor of Pétange and as a member of the Chamber of Deputies. Between 2009 and 2013, he served as the Minister for Defence of Luxembourg in the Juncker–Asselborn II Government. Throughout his career, he has been deeply involved in municipal governance and national policy, particularly in areas related to home affairs and town planning.
