Jefferson L. Ghrist

Jefferson L. Ghrist is an American politician serving as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 36 since 2015. A fiscal conservative, he has focused his legislative career on limited government, tax reduction, and rural advocacy, including serving as co-chair of the Rural Caucus. Prior to his state legislative service, he was a member of the Caroline County Board of Commissioners from 2006 to 2014, where he served as board president. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Salisbury University and previously worked in retail management and real estate.
