Jenan Boushehri

Jenan Boushehri is a Kuwaiti politician and engineer who has played a pioneering role in national politics, notably as one of the first two women to run for election in Kuwait during the 2006 municipal by-election. Holding advanced degrees in chemical engineering from Kuwait University and Ain Shams University, she previously served in ministerial posts including Minister for Housing and Minister for Public Works before resigning in November 2019. She later returned to prominent legislative duties as a Member of the National Assembly.
