Jenniffer González-Colón is a Puerto Rican politician serving as the Governor of Puerto Rico since 2025. A member of the New Progressive Party and the Republican Party, she previously served as the Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico in the U.S. Congress from 2017 to 2025 and as the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico. Known as a pro-statehood and pro-business conservative, she has focused her career on disaster recovery, veterans' affairs, and economic development. She is the first woman to serve as Resident Commissioner and the second woman elected as Governor of Puerto Rico.
