Jenny Young is a Scottish politician serving as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Central Scotland and Lothians West region since May 2026. A member of the Scottish Labour Party, she previously worked as a secondary school teacher and as a parliamentary researcher for Michael Marra MSP. Following her election, she was appointed to the shadow cabinet with responsibility for innovation, technology, and tertiary education. She is a native of Linlithgow and an alumna of the University of Cambridge.
