Katherine Sangster is a Scottish politician serving as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Edinburgh and Lothians East region. She was elected to the Scottish Parliament in the 2026 election. Prior to her successful election to the Scottish Parliament, Sangster was active in local politics, having stood for the Musselburgh ward in the 2017 East Lothian Council election and contested the Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale constituency in the 2021 Scottish Parliament election. In the 2026 election, she also stood as the constituency candidate for Edinburgh Eastern, Musselburgh and Tranent.
