Jens Garðar Helgason is an Icelandic politician currently serving as a member of the Althing for the Northeast constituency. Born in 1976 in Eskifjörður, he holds a degree in business administration from the University of Iceland and an MBA from the Norwegian School of Economics. Before his parliamentary career, he served as chairman of the Fjarðabyggð municipal council from 2010 to 2018 and held leadership roles in the Association of Icelandic Fisheries Companies and the Confederation of Icelandic Employers. In March 2025, he was elected deputy chair of the Independence Party.
