Jens Peick is a German politician and trade unionist currently serving as a member of the German Bundestag. Born in Castrop-Rauxel in 1981, he began his career in the Dortmund city administration after completing an apprenticeship in public management. A long-time member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), he has served as the chairman of the SPD Dortmund since 2021. Within the Bundestag, Peick is associated with the Parliamentary Left, a left-wing faction of his party. He is also an active member of the ver.di trade union.
