Jim Chalmers

Jim Chalmers is an Australian politician who has served as the Treasurer of Australia since 2022. A member of the Australian Labor Party, he has represented the Division of Rankin in the House of Representatives since 2013. Before entering parliament, he worked as a political adviser and researcher, including serving as chief of staff to former Treasurer Wayne Swan. Chalmers holds a PhD in political science from the Australian National University and is known for his focus on economic management, intergenerational mobility, and values-based capitalism.
