Jim Dinn is a Canadian politician serving as the leader of the Newfoundland and Labrador New Democratic Party and as a Member of the House of Assembly for the district of St. John's Centre. First elected in 2019, he previously served as the president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers’ Association. A former educator, Dinn has advocated for reduced reliance on fossil fuels and has been a vocal critic of the environmental impacts of offshore oil projects in the province.
