Jim Fairlie is a Scottish National Party politician serving as the Minister for Agriculture, Marine, and the Islands since May 2026. He has represented the constituency of Perthshire South and Kinross-shire as a Member of the Scottish Parliament since 2021. Before entering politics, Fairlie worked as a sheep farmer and founded the Perth Farmers' Market. A proponent of Scottish independence, he co-founded the campaign group Farmers4Yes and has held various ministerial roles within the Scottish Government.
