Jim Mooney

James Vernon Mooney Jr. is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing the 120th district. A member of the Republican Party, he assumed office in 2020 after a career in local government. Prior to his state-level service, Mooney served on the Islamorada Village Council from 1998 to 2002, including a term as mayor, and returned to the council in 2014. During his tenure in the Florida House, he has focused on policy areas including environmental protection, agriculture, infrastructure, and education.
