James Cecil Higdon Jr. is an American politician serving as a member of the Kentucky Senate since 2009, where he currently chairs the Senate Transportation Committee. Previously, he served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. A Republican representing the 14th Senate district, Higdon is known for his conservative stances, including being pro-life and a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Outside of his legislative career, he was a business partner in a grocery store and served in the United States Army Reserve.
