Jing Lee is a Malaysian-Australian politician serving as a member of the South Australian Legislative Council. Born in Malaysia in 1967, she emigrated to Australia at the age of 13 and later studied business management at the University of South Australia. First elected to the Legislative Council in 2010 as a member of the Liberal Party, she held various shadow portfolios and served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier. In January 2025, she resigned from the Liberal Party to sit as an independent, later founding the political party Jing Lee – Better Community in May 2025. Throughout her career, she has been involved in multicultural advocacy, though her political associations have occasionally drawn public and media scrutiny.
