Jo Johnson is a British politician and peer who currently serves as a member of the House of Lords. A member of the Conservative Party, he previously served as the Member of Parliament for Orpington from 2010 to 2019 and held several ministerial positions, including Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career as a journalist at the Financial Times and worked in investment banking. He is the younger brother of former Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
