Jo Luxton is a New Zealand politician who has served as a Member of Parliament in the House of Representatives since 2017. Before entering politics, she spent two decades working as an early childhood educator and owned the Hinds Early Learning Centre. During her parliamentary career, she has served as Minister of Customs and Associate Minister of Education. A member of the Labour Party, she currently sits on the primary production committee and serves as an opposition spokesperson. Luxton is of Māori descent and is known for her advocacy in education and social welfare.
