João Torres

João Torres is a Portuguese politician and civil engineer currently serving as a Deputy to the Assembly of the Republic. A member of the Socialist Party, he previously held roles as Secretary of State for Consumer Protection and Secretary of State for Commerce, Services and Consumer Protection. Earlier in his career, he led the Socialist Youth organization and worked as a civil engineer in the construction sector. He has also served as Deputy Secretary-General of the Socialist Party and as a Vice-President of the Socialist International.
