Joanne Bunting is a Northern Irish politician serving as a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly for Belfast East since 2016. A member of the Democratic Unionist Party, she has held the position of Junior Minister in the Executive of the 7th Northern Ireland Assembly since 2025. Previously, she served as a councillor in Castlereagh for 11 years, including a term as Mayor in 2004-2005. Bunting has also served as the DUP's spokesperson for Justice and as Chair of the Assembly Committee for Justice.
