Joaquin Arambula is an American politician currently serving as a member of the California State Assembly, representing the 31st Assembly District. A member of the Democratic Party, he was first elected in a 2016 special election. Before entering politics, he worked as an emergency department physician. Arambula is active in the California Latino Legislative Caucus and the California Legislative Progressive Caucus. In 2019, he was acquitted of child cruelty charges following a jury trial in Fresno.
