Joe Long is a Scottish politician who has served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Mid Scotland and Fife region since 2026. Before entering politics, he was an academic and social care professional, holding a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Aberdeen and serving as the Director of Practice and Innovation at the charity Scottish Autism. Long has been active in the Labour Party in Fife for several years and was elected to the Scottish Parliament following the 2026 election.
