Johanna Baxter

Johanna Baxter is a British politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Paisley and Renfrewshire South since 2024. Before her election to the House of Commons, she held significant roles within the Labour Party, including serving as Chair of the National Executive Committee from 2022 to 2023, and worked as the head of local government for Unison Scotland. In May 2026, she was appointed as a Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Throughout her career, Baxter has been a vocal advocate for internal party transparency and democratic processes.
