Johannes Funke is a German politician and a member of the Landtag of Brandenburg. Born in Potsdam in 1969, he initially trained as a shepherd and served as a construction soldier before earning a degree in agricultural engineering from Humboldt University of Berlin. His professional background includes working as a consultant for the Central Market and Price Reporting Office and as a press officer for the German Farmers' Association. Since 2015, he has served as the managing director of the Havelland District Farmers' Association. Funke was first elected to the Brandenburg state parliament in 2019 as a direct candidate for the SPD in the Havelland I constituency and was re-elected in 2024.
