John Barlow

John Barlow is a Canadian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Foothills in Alberta since 2015. A member of the Conservative Party, he previously represented the riding of Macleod following a 2014 by-election. Before entering federal politics, Barlow worked as an editor for the Western Wheel newspaper in Okotoks. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has held several shadow cabinet positions, including Shadow Minister for Agriculture, Agri-Food, and Food Security, and has been a prominent advocate for agricultural biosecurity and interprovincial trade reform.
