John Ehret

John Ehret is a German politician who has served as the Lord Mayor of Leimen since 2024. Before his current role, he served as the mayor of the municipality of Mauer from 2012 to 2024, becoming the first Black mayor in the state of Baden-Württemberg. Prior to his political career, Ehret worked for the German Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt), where he participated in international missions in Lebanon, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Afghanistan. He has also been a member of the Rhein-Neckar district council since 2014.
