John Gillette

John Gillette is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Arizona House of Representatives for the 30th district, having assumed office in 2023. Before his legislative career, he served as a sheriff's deputy in Sangamon County, Illinois, and as a military police officer in the Illinois National Guard, where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service in the Iraq War. He also worked as a real estate agent. Gillette is known for his conservative political stances, including his support for individuals involved in the January 6 United States Capitol attack and his controversial public rhetoric regarding political opponents and religious groups.
