John Illg

John R. Illg Jr. is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives for the 78th district. First entering the political arena in 2007, he eventually secured his seat in the state legislature in 2019 after defeating William Wallis. He officially assumed office on January 13, 2020, and successfully won re-election without opposition in 2023. Often referred to by the nickname "Big John," he represents the interests of his constituents in East Jefferson.
