John McAuliff

John Chilton McAuliff is an American politician serving as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates for the 30th District, having been elected in 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, he notably defeated the Republican incumbent to become the first Democrat to represent the area in over 30 years. Before his election, McAuliff worked as a chief of staff to Delegate David A. Reid, served in the USDA Rural Development, and held a position in the White House Office on Clean Energy Innovation and Implementation. He is also a small business owner who operates a bed and breakfast in Warrenton, Virginia, and has been an active volunteer with the Loudoun County Medical Reserve Corps. His political platform included strong opposition to the expansion of data centers in the region.
