John McAuliff

John Chilton McAuliff is an American politician serving as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates for the 30th District, having been elected in 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, he notably defeated the Republican incumbent to become the first Democrat to represent the area in over 30 years. Before his election, McAuliff worked as a chief of staff to Delegate David A. Reid, served in the USDA Rural Development, and held a position in the White House Office on Clean Energy Innovation and Implementation. He is also a small business owner who operates a bed and breakfast in Warrenton, Virginia, and has been an active volunteer with the Loudoun County Medical Reserve Corps.
