John Nash, Baron Nash is a British venture capitalist and politician who serves as a life peer in the House of Lords. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in finance, serving as managing director of Advent Limited and co-founding the private equity firm Sovereign Capital. He served as the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Schools from 2013 to 2017, where he oversaw significant expansions of the academy and free school programmes. Alongside his wife, he founded the charity Future, which manages several school academies in London and Hertfordshire. He continues to contribute to public life through his parliamentary work and his involvement in educational policy.
