A senior member of the Liberal Democratic Party in Hokkaido, he has held numerous leadership roles, including Secretary-General of the LDP Hokkaido Prefectural Federation. He is a strong advocate for regional development, focusing on decarbonization, digital transformation, and the expansion of the Hokkaido Shinkansen.
