Jon Dunwell

Jon Dunwell is an American politician serving as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives. First elected in a 2021 special election to represent the 29th district, he later transitioned to the 38th district. Prior to his legislative career, Dunwell worked as a pastor in Florida and Minnesota and served as a vice president for two financial services firms. He is currently the Director of outreach and engagement at The Family Leader and continues to serve as a pastor at Gateway Church in Monroe, Iowa. Dunwell has announced his intention to retire at the end of the 2026 legislative session.
