Jonathan Patterson is an American politician serving as the Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives since 2025. A member of the Republican Party, he has represented the 30th district in the Missouri House of Representatives since 2019. Before entering politics, Patterson was a general surgeon, having earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed his residency at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. He is the first Asian American to serve as Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives. In his legislative capacity, he has been involved in debates regarding abortion policy, paid sick leave, and state redistricting efforts.
