Jonathan Windy Boy is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Montana Senate. Born and raised in Box Elder, Montana, he has a long career in public service, having previously served in the Montana House of Representatives and as a member of the Chippewa Cree Tribal Council. Throughout his legislative career, he has focused on issues such as Native American language preservation, sponsoring the Montana Indian Language Preservation Pilot Program in 2013. In 2026, he announced his candidacy for Montana's 2nd congressional district. Beyond his political work, he is a traditional dancer and has worked in oil field exploration and as a drug and alcohol prevention speaker.
