Jordan A. Harris is an American politician serving as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 186th district since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, he currently chairs the House Appropriations Committee and has previously served as the Democratic Whip and Chair of the Pennsylvania House Legislative Black Caucus. Harris is widely recognized for his advocacy in criminal justice reform, most notably for his work on the Clean Slate Act, which was signed into law in 2018. Before his legislative career, he worked as a teacher in the Philadelphia Public Schools and as the director of the Philadelphia Youth Commission.
