Jordi Ballart

Jordi Ballart i Pastor is a Spanish politician currently serving as the Mayor of Terrassa. After a long career with the Socialists' Party of Catalonia (PSC), he resigned in 2017 due to disagreements over the party's stance on the Catalan independence referendum. In 2018, he founded the local party Tot per Terrassa (TxT), which he led to a historic victory in the 2019 local elections, ending 40 years of PSC dominance in the city. Ballart is openly gay and has been a vocal advocate against homophobic harassment.
