Jorge Quiroz

Jorge Antonio Quiroz Castro is a Chilean economist, academic, and current Minister of Finance, appointed in 2026 by President José Antonio Kast. Before entering government, he founded the prominent consultancy firm Quiroz & Asociados, specializing in regulatory analysis and economic negotiations. An alumnus of the University of Chile and Duke University, he previously taught at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Although he now aligns with liberal economic positions, he was a vocal opponent of the Pinochet regime during the 1980s.
