May Chomalí

May Chomalí is a Chilean physician and public health specialist who was nominated as Minister of Health in January 2026. Of Palestinian descent, she has built an extensive career in clinical medicine and health administration, having served as the medical director of the Instituto Nacional del Tórax and in senior management roles at Clínica Las Condes. Before her appointment to the cabinet, she acted as the executive director of the Centro Nacional en Sistemas de Información en Salud, where she focused on the modernization and digital transformation of health information systems. She is recognized for her expertise in epidemiology and health management.
